We hosted the second of two levy informational meetings last night. Over 80 people came, and brought with them some interesting and challenging points of view. Overall I felt it was a very positive meeting.
Here is the presentation from last night's meeting. It is considerably different from the one given on Sept. 22, so it is definitely worth a look.

When the city ran into their money trouble, they not only cut positions, but also froze wages with only a 0.07% increase. Don't you think that maybe ALL the upper management should maybe do the same rather than cut the people that are actually teaching our children? It would at least show the public that the management is really for the kids. When the top 10 employees of the district are going to make in the area of $1,450,064.60 with fringe benefits, that makes me feel like the district hasn't done everything that it can.
